Taxmeni

The country band Taxmeni was founded in 1970 and is one of the longest active country bands in the country. At the cradle of Taxmeni was the Czech educator, historian, writer, publicist and musician - banjo player Jaroslav Čvanča, who still performs with the band. The main pillar of the band is also the solo singer with an unmistakable voice, Vráť Vyskočil.

In the initial period, Taxmeni moved on the borderline between folk and bluegrass and began to gain popularity very quickly, which was soon helped by winning the most prestigious domestic festival Porta.

The band's style is sometimes referred to as military country due to its lyrics, which often focus on military themes. In its fifty-four years of existence, the band has been performed by dozens of country music personalities, has recorded numerous albums, and some of its songs have become almost popular.
