In the park behind the shopping mall Pilsen Plaza, the military camps of the 16th Armored Division and the Czechoslovak Independent Armored Brigade will be presented. The 16th Armored Division camp shows the daily lives of soldiers, heavy and light armored vehicles, workshops, tractors and transport equipment. A replica of the two-seat Piper Cub (L-4H), which was a major training force for the US Air Force, will be shown as well. During the Second World War, 80% of the military pilots were given lesson in these aircrafts. Piper got the Grasshopper nickname, because it „jumped“ from one meadow to another while performing intercommunication, observation and other tasks. The camp will include an acoustic shooting range with demonstrations of shotguns from available infantry weapons.
